Project Description

Comfort Cough® II

Mechanical In-/Ex-Sufflator

As a new innovative cough assistance solution the Comfort Cough® II is intended for use with patients who are either unable to cough or who have no effective secretion mobilization due to reduced peak cough flow. The mechanical in-/exsufflator stimulates natural coughing through rapid switching between over- and under-pressure.

The application of the Comfort Cough® II is particularly useful for patients with neuromuscular disorders or other neurological diseases which interfere the physiological respiratory function through damage to the central nervous system.

The Comfort Cough® II has been developed especially for adults and pediatric patients. The device can be used both in a clinical setting and in non-clinical
settings, where prescribed by a doctor.

The device is characterized by its simple, clear menu navigation. The preset function which can save up to nine different presets of therapy settings for all operating modes ensures more convenience. The device has three operating modes: Auto, Manual and Percussion. With its separately controllable percussion mode the Comfort Cough® II stands out clearly from the competition. New compared to the previous model is the additional oscillation setting.
