Nasal Cannulas

NASAL HIGH-FLOW OXYGEN THERAPY

Nasal Cannulas

Nasal oxygen insufflation is a young, non-invasive form of therapy for clinical use in children and adults. With nasal oxygen insufflation, heated breathing gas is administered at a high flow rate through specially designed nasal cannulas. This form of oxygen delivery is called Nasal High-Flow Oxygen Therapy (NHFOT).

Nasal cannulas specifically designed for nasal high-flow oxygen therapy reduce anatomical dead space, increase alveolar oxygen concentration, improve oxygenation and facilitate breathing while reducing FiO2. All advantages of the NHFOT at a glance:

Advantages:

Flow rates up to 60 L/min
Optimally conditioned breathing gas
Low PAP
Reduced dead space in the nasopharynx
Improved patient comfort, compliance and oxygenation
Reduction of CO2
Allows drinking, eating, talking and sleeping

Application:

Acute hypoxemic respiratory failure
Asthma
Cardiogenic pulmonary edema
Pneumonia
Carbon monoxide poisoning
Respiratory distress syndrome after extubation
Non-intubable (DNI)
After cardiac surgery

WILAmed offers a wide range of nasal cannulae for use in nasal high-flow oxygen therapy: from low flow rates when ventilating the smallest patients to very high flow rates for adults.

Nasal cannulas for our large and small patients

LM Flo2

The LM Flo2 high-flow nasal cannula from Löwenstein Medical is made of a soft, skin-friendly material and is the perfect balance between efficient therapy and maximum comfort. The LM Flo2 is suitable for both adults and pediatric patients. The anatomically shaped nosepiece adapts individually and offers a high level of safety. The LM Flo2 is MRI-compatible thanks to the use of carefully selected, safe materials.

Patient groupChildren and Adults
Flow ratemax. 60 l/min
Oxygen concentration100% at a flow rate up to 25 L/min
ConnectorConical connector 22/15 mm (ISO 5356-1)

Smooth-Fit-Prongs

The smooth-fit prongs are flexible and supple. The special design of the prongs prevents kinking. Their soft fit prevents skin irritation, making an important contribution to pressure ulcer prevention.

High wearing comfort

The anatomically shaped nose piece fits individually and offers maximum skin protection thanks to the use of carefully selected, safe materials. The highly elastic headband is also impressive to use. Thanks to its intuitive design, it adapts to the shape of the head and ensures a secure fit.

Practical to use

More freedom of movement for the patient is achieved by the option of intuitively connectingthe tube to both sides of the LMFlo2high-flow nasal cannula. The LMFlo2 has a smoothbore connection tube. The smooth inner walls ensure low resistance to high flows during application and thus successful high-flow therapy. The Quick-Clip and tube holder ensure correct positioning and a secure fit of the prongs.
